DAY 1
AM» Arrival at Baltra airport – Transfer to boat
PM» Bachas Beach
Home to Galapagos’ main airport, this will be the starting point of your experience aboard the best tour of the Galapagos Islands. A bilingual guide will meet you at the airport and assist you during the transfer onboard Eden Yacht. Welcome briefing.
Bachas Beach
After lunch, head to Bachas Beach, a white sand beach which is a nesting place for sea turtles, and where you can also spot sally light foot crabs, flamingos, hermit crabs and sea lions. End of the day and dinner.
DAY 2
AM» Genovesa: Darwin Bay
PM» Genovesa : Prince Phillip Steps
Darwin Bay
First activity of the day will be visiting Darwin Bay at , where you will be able to practice snorkeling and see various species of fish rays and (with luck) hammerhead sharks from afar. You can also walk along this place’s trail to see frigate birds, gulls, blue and red footed boobies.
El Barranco
Finally, we go to El Barranco, also called Prince Phillips Steps, for an amazing wildlife watching opportunity. Hike up the steps to see colonies of red footed boobies and masked boobies. End of the day and dinner.
DAY 3
AM»: Bartolome Island
PM»: Santiago Island
Bartolome Island
Dry and Wet landings. This island features distinctive lava formations and ash-cones, as well as a 375-step wooden ladder that takes you 114 meter above sea level to the top of the volcano were a spectacular view of the bays below awaits you. The prominent “Pinnacle Rock” is located on this island and is one of the most visited sites in Galapagos.
Santiago Island
SULLIVAN BAY (SANTIAGO): In the afternoon, you will visit Sullivan Bay on Santiago Island, to see fascinating giant lava formations of this place and enjoy your time at the white – coral sand beach. End of the day and dinner.
DAY 4
AM» Santa Cruz Island: Black turtle Cove
PM» Santa Cruz Island: Dragon Hill
Black turtle Cove
Begin the day with a panga ride to visit Black Turtle Cove, where you will see the mangrove ecosystem, and the rich marine wildlife that inhabits it, such as manta rays and sea turtles; reef sharks can also be seen gliding by.
Dragon Hill
Then head to Cerro Dragon (Dragon Hill), to take a walk to the lagoon that is frequented by pink flamingos, pintail ducks and other species. Here you will also pass through a Scalesia tree forest, endemic to the area. Head back to the yacht and dinner.
DAY 5
AM» Santa Cruz Island: Charles Darwin Station
PM» Santa Cruz Island: Highlands
Charles Darwin Station
Disembark at Puerto Ayora to visit Charles Darwin Research Station to observe many species of tortoises and land iguanas in captivity, and learn about the efforts of scientists, researchers and volunteers to conserve Galapagos Wildlife.
Highlands
After lunch, take a bus to visit the Highlands of Santa Cruz and El Chato Reserve, a perfect place to see giant tortoises in their natural environment. You can also explore the reserve´s lagoon and lava tunnels. Return to the yacht and dinner.
DAY 6
AM» Floreana Island: Post Office Bay
PM» Floreana Island: Cormorant Point
Post Office Bay
We begin with a visit to Post Office Bay, where you can learn about its unique history, which was used as a post office by whaling vessels and pirates during the 18th century.
Cormorant Point
Next to Punta Cormorant on Floreana Island, to discover two beaches, one with green sand cloured by olivine crystals, the other of white sand known as “Flour Beach”. You can observe flamingos and other shore birds here. Return to the yacht and dinner.
DAY 7
AM» Española Island: Punta Suarez
PM» Española Island: Gardener Bay
Punta Suarez
Dry landing. A congregation place for the blue footed and masked bobbies, Darwin finches, Galapagos doves, and from April to June the albatrosses make this part of Española their nesting grounds. Take the 3 kilometer trail and visit the colonies of sea lions and marine iguanas at the blowhole known as “El Soplador” (the blower) that sprays water around 75 feet (25m) into the air.
Gardner Bay
Wet landing. Then, head to Gardner Bay, to visit a magnificent white sand beach full of lazing sea lions and sea birds. You can also practice snorkeling in Tortuga Rock, just ahead of Gardner bay, and see various species of fishes such as king angelfish, bump head parrot fish and white tipped reef sharks. After this activity return to the yacht and dinner.
DAY 8
AM» San Cristobal: Interpretation Center, Transfer from to San Cristobal Airport
Before you fly back to Quito, learn more about the history and culture of the Islands at San Cristobal Interpretation Center.
Discover the history of Galapagos Islands, from their volcanic beginnings to the present day conservation efforts. The Human History exhibit explains the discovery and colonization of the Galapagos Islands. It also reveals the fascinating natural history and diversity of flora, fauna and flora that makes the Galapagos so special.
