Your Galapagos adventure starts at Baltra airport, where your naturalist guide meets you and takes you to the Archipel I catamaran. After boarding, a safety briefing and lunch, your first landing awaits.
Bachas Beach
Bachas is a stretch of white coral sand on the northern shore of Santa Cruz. Behind the beach, brackish lagoons often attract flamingos, marine iguanas wander at the water’s edge, and rusting remains recall the barges left here during World War II. It is also a rewarding snorkeling spot, with turtles and colorful reef fish close to shore.

Prince Philip’s Steps (El Barranco)
A steep stairway climbs the cliff at El Barranco, known as Prince Philip’s Steps, into a palo santo forest alive with red-footed and Nazca boobies. The trail continues across a lava field where Galapagos storm petrels hunt by day and short-eared owls wait to prey on them.
Darwin Bay
Darwin Bay opens as a white sand beach inside the flooded caldera of Genovesa. Mangroves and prickly pear cactus shelter nesting red-footed boobies, frigatebirds and swallow-tailed gulls, and a snorkel along the caldera wall can reveal rays, sea turtles and hammerhead sharks.

Bartholomew Island
A boardwalk and stairway climb to the summit of Bartholomew, the classic viewpoint over Pinnacle Rock and the twin bays below. The island’s cones, craters and lava tubes show the volcanic origins of the archipelago at a glance, and Galapagos penguins often swim around the rock.
Sullivan Bay
Sullivan Bay is famous for its ropey pahoehoe lava flows, little more than a century old and still almost bare of life. Walking across the rippled black surface feels like crossing another planet, and the small beach is a fine place to cool off with a swim or snorkel.
DAY 4 – Thursday
AM»Santa Cruz: Twin Craters (Los Gemelos) + El Chato Reserve – Transfer from Yacht to Baltra airport
Twin Craters (Los Gemelos)
On your final morning you head into the green highlands of Santa Cruz to the Twin Craters, two large pit craters formed when underground magma chambers collapsed. Scalesia forest surrounds the rims, a sharp contrast with the dry lowlands of the coast.
El Chato Reserve
At El Chato Reserve, wild giant tortoises roam the grasslands and wallow in seasonal ponds. Walking among these gentle giants, and through a natural lava tunnel, is the perfect farewell before your transfer to Baltra airport for the flight back to mainland Ecuador.

ARCHIPEL I Catamaran
The Archipel I offers space and comfort; the stability and speed make this catamaran a perfect partner for the adventure of discovering the Galapagos Islands. This catamaran has 6 cabins (Twins and matrimonial) all in main deck. and 2 cabins with matrimonial beds. All of the cabins have private bathrooms, hot water and air-conditioning. The Archipel I also has a comfortable dining room, TV, DVD, stereo, library, an indoor bar, a bar on the upper deck and a spacious tanning deck with reclining chairs. In addition, all cabins are located on the main deck with an outside view. The boat also has a complete crew including a naturalist guide level III, who has been trained and licensed by the Galapagos National Park at the Charles Darwin Research Station.
